Heather (Stricker) Altenhofen was born in Hardin, MT on Spring Hill Farms, but grew up and graduated from Laurel High School in 2003. She attended the University of Montana on an ROTC scholarship, and graduated in 2007 with a BA in Political Science and History with a Social Sciences teaching endorsement. Upon graduation from college, Heather was commissioned into the Montana Army National Guard. She taught eighth grade history in Hamilton, MT before leaving to the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sill, OK. She then moved to Ft. Lee, VA to attend Quartermaster School. Heather returned to Montana and accepted an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) job with the MTARNG in Billings, MT, where she served as the battalion supply officer (S4) with the 190th CSSB for five years. Heather married her college sweetheart, Luke Altenhofen of Miles City, MT in 2010. While starting a family, Heather was able to complete her Master's Degree in Public Relations from Montana State University-Billings in 2013, after which she decided to pursue her passion for Real Estate. She followed her mother/Broker, Vicky Stricker for over 20 years, learning the ins-and-outs of the business and fostering a great love for helping people find homes. She completed the Connole-Morton School of Real Estate and received her real estate license in 2014. Heather has been helping friends and family buy and sell homes, investment properties, ranchettes and townhomes for many years. Heather specializes in residential properties and takes great pride in helping fellow Veterans navigate the complexities of the VA home buying process. Heather, her husband Luke, son Connor, daughter Evelyn, son Rhett, and all of their pets moved to Miles City in January of 2018. The family is currently working to restore the 130-year old William Harmon House, more commonly known as the Rivenes House by locals. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family, horseback riding, looking at houses, gardening, cooking and decorating.
